Before you start
- The client name/version and the error text.
- The business and app you intended to use.
The client does not offer a remote MCP connection
Check the client’s current documentation for remote MCP, Streamable HTTP and OAuth. A local stdio configuration or a generic URL field may not provide the required flow. VentES uses a public client with no shared client secret. If your client requires a different authentication method, contact VentES to review compatibility.
My business is missing or no capabilities are offered
- Check that you signed in with the intended email address and verified it.
- Check Organizations for an active business where you are an owner or administrator.
- Confirm the subscription is active and your organization seat is assigned for that app, or that your account has valid personal access.
- Check whether the client requested the app’s relevant scopes. Only requested capabilities available to your business are offered.
- If the business was just created, return to the client and start a fresh authorization.
The login request expired or shows invalid state
Cancel the old connection attempt and start a new one from your AI client. Complete that fresh flow in the browser it opens. Avoid reusing old authorization links or mixing several attempts in parallel. If it repeats, record the client name, approximate time and the error text for support. Authorization requests expire after ten minutes.
The connection worked before but is now denied
Check whether the connection was revoked, your business role changed or app access ended. Access tokens last 15 minutes and compatible clients renew them with rotating refresh tokens. A refresh family expires after 30 days; a reused refresh token can also invalidate it. Reauthorize from your client when it asks you to reconnect.
A tool or social action is missing
The gateway exposes selected app capabilities. Access to an app does not imply every button in that app is an agent tool. Social publishing additionally depends on the provider’s permissions and connected account. Adding wider scopes will not resolve a missing provider connection or an unsupported operation.
A proposed action failed or has an uncertain result
Keep the action ID and use Refresh action status. Have the client check that existing action before proposing another. Review the actual application record when possible, then contact support if the result is still unclear.
What to include when asking for help
Do not send passwords, access/refresh tokens, client credential files or complete callback URLs containing authorization codes.
- Client name and version; desktop or hosted client.
- Business name, app and approximate time.
- Error text and action ID, if there is one.
- Which step failed: connect, login, consent, read or approval.
